Cartwrights Corner stands as a landmark in the heart of the city, rich in history and transformation. The site originally housed Cartwrights Warehouse, established in 1892, serving as a key commercial hub until 1903.
It was then replaced by Fletcher & Cartwrights – Mansion House, an elegant structure that stood from 1903 to 1938, reflecting the architectural grandeur of its time.

By 1968, the site had been developed into a 22-story high-rise, serving as the offices for Old Mutual Bank. Further modifications in the early 2000s added a 23rd floor, expanding its skyline presence.
In 2005, a significant milestone was reached when the building was sectionalized for residential accommodation, marking its transition into a premier mixed-use development.

Today, Cartwrights Corner stands as a fusion of heritage and modern living, embodying over a century of architectural and functional evolution.
